Are you interested in learning more about your cooperative and the utility industry in general? The Power Connection program might be just for you!
The Power Connection will kick off in October, during National Co-op Month! We'll start the conversation with our cooperative history, what sets us apart from investor-owned utilities, and local governance. Participants will follow up in November with a conversation on our energy landscape to learn more about how we manage load in a time when consumption is outpacing production.
Because we know schedules get busy during the holidays, we'll take a hiatus in December and regroup in January with The Grid. We'll talk about the players, how it actually works and how we're connected. In February participants will discuss the weather, how it affects rates and budgets as well as the philosophy of the board of directors.
The current plan has us skipping a March and getting back together in April to talk about the future of the energy industry and challenges we may face.
The actual dates of the conversations will be announced closer to the start of the program and will take into consideration the schedules of the attendees. Participants will be required to meet in person, at the office of the cooperative.
